An infomercial is basically a commercial that is very similar in appearance to a news program, talk show, or other non-advertising program content. Its sole purpose, however, is to drive the viewer to a specific action, often the purchase of a product or service. a few years ago infomercials were all over the airwaves, and during the overnight hours you could not turn on the TV without seeing multiple infomercials. The pandemic though although it saw more people watching TV, products that were normally manufactured overseas became almost impossible to procure due to restrictions and costs of shipping from their country of origin, most notably China.
